Culture Week
Culture Week at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa is a much-anticipated event that transcends boundaries, bringing together students, teachers and staff to celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity that exists within the school community. This year's theme, "Around the World in 2 Days," took participants on a captivating journey through various cultures, fostering a deep appreciation for pluralism and the importance of celebrating diversity.
The campus was transformed into a vibrant hub representing cultures from around the world. Through interactive workshops, performances, presentations and exhibitions, students had the opportunity to explore various aspects of different cultures, including music, dance, art, cuisine, traditional clothing and language. Engaging activities such as language exchange programmes, cooking classes and cultural performances not only offered a glimpse into different cultures but also fostered cross-cultural connections and understanding.
By celebrating diversity, students become global citizens who appreciate the value of diverse perspectives, the importance of intercultural dialogue and the need to work together to address global challenges.
