The First School Play

12 June 2014

On Thursday 12th June, the students of the Aga Khan Academy, Maputo presented the first ever school play to their parents and members of the wider community.  The play was called the Magic Key and was held at ISCTEM in downtown Maputo.

The play was written by Taryn Fourie and Nelson Azevedo and was about two students from the Aga Khan Academy in Maputo who find a magic key.  The key transports them to different countries around the world where they meet children of a similar age and learn something from them about the country they are visiting.

The play involved all the children in the Academy and was a mixture of singing and dancing.  The staff at the Academy worked tirelessly with the students to prepare the dances, costumes and songs for the play.  On the night, the play was a huge success and was enjoyed by all.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the students for their hard work and wish them a restful holiday, they deserve it.
