Music Verandah brings musicians together

Music Verandah is a virtual music platform that launched by DP1 student Arnaz Pradhan in 2020. Initially she had hoped it would bring together people who only sing in the bathroom, beginners and professionals to perform together every evening. It was aimed at bringing joy and life into the lives of the participants. It started as a local initiative with just three people Mr. Gaurav Jain, Mrs.Anila Rampuria and Mr. Gaurav Bhardwaj. Over the course of the year more people joined each evening both from other parts of India as well as from all over the world.

The participants in Music Verandah are so active, encouraging, and enthusiastic. We celebrate birthdays and do tributes to legends like Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, Dev Anand and S.P.Balasubramaniam. We even celebrated the birthday of King Khan Shah Rukh Khan and our guest for the event was Mr. Iyengar who is a close friend of Shah Rukh Khan and has written many films. We celebrated Dev Anand birthday and our guest speaker was RJ Anmol who was very close to him.  We also celebrated Independence Day and festivals like Diwali and Christmas. 

Arnaz says that the regular sessions boosts the confidence of the participants. They prepare songs based on a theme selected and get to learn something new every day.
