Parents of the newly applied MYP and DP students participate in special admissions event

On 23 January 2023, the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka invited parents of the newly applied Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme students to attend a special event to meet and greet with the head of Academy, the academic leadership team, and Mr Arjun Puri, dean of admissions for the Academy in Hyderabad.

Mr Bill O'Hearn began the session by briefly introducing the unique aspects of the AKA Dhaka and how the Academies stand out in providing quality education, and empowering students with the proper knowledge and skills. Mr Arjun led the event by sharing his experience witnessing the students meticulously evolving to become pluralistic, ethical leaders of their respective communities and setting examples at local and international levels. He also shared a video that demonstrated student life at the Academy in Hyderabad and its residential facilities.

The session was followed by smaller group discussions where the parents got a chance to interact and engage with the academic leadership team. They were overjoyed to get a glimpse of the teaching-learning experiences at the Academy, its welcoming staff and its remarkable state-of-the-art facilities.

“Very happy to see and experience the smart education system of the Academy,” said Mr Tanvir Rahman, one of the participating parents. “The event has motivated not just the parents but also the kids accompanying them.”
