The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka is a wonderful place for young people to learn in an environment where students are inspired by dedicated educators and supported by exceptional facilities, such as the impressively green Maidan. Here, learning extends beyond classrooms, encouraging curiosity, collaboration and ethical leadership. 

The Aga Khan Academies is a network of Academies across South Asia and East Africa, promoting an internationally designed learning environment following the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. As the latest addition to the network, the Academy in Dhaka, Bangladesh was established in 2022 to realise His Late Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV’s vision of a global learning community. 

The Academy in Dhaka carries on the 35-year-long legacy of the Aga Khan School, Dhaka. Through our Professional Development Centre, we strengthen teaching excellence within the Academy and contribute to national education through initiatives such as the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange project and the Teacher Preparation Programme. 

Our students consistently achieve exceptional results in the IB Diploma Programme examinations above the global average and go on to leading universities worldwide. Yet beyond academics, we focus on nurturing compassion, resilience and ethical leadership so that students can make a meaningful difference in their communities.
