Grade 5 students gain leadership insights from the head of Academy

On 20 August 2023, Grade 5 students at the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka participated in a guest speaker session by the Head of Academy Ms Suvina Sunglu. The session was themed around leadership traits and the essence of being a leader. It provided the young minds with a glimpse into the journey of leadership.

Ms Suvina shared key moments from her career as she ascended to leadership roles. An integral aspect of her talk centred around the decision-making process as a leader. She emphasised the importance of considering the broader community and environmental implications. Ms Suvina further unravelled the key roles her family, friends and affiliations with numerous organisations played in shaping her leadership style and ethos.

The session was not just a monologue, as Ms Suvina was impressed by the students' aptitude for inquiry and their understanding of the discussed topics.

"I am truly impressed by the inquisitiveness and depth of understanding showcased by our Grade 5 students today,” Ms Suvina said. “It is heartening to see such young minds grasp and engage with different aspects of leadership.”
