On 13 June 2023, the Aga Khan Academy Dhaka showcased artistic talents and cultural diversity of its Senior School students through an art fair.

Students participate in OA Model United Nations

Middle Years Programme (MYP) students from the Academy attended the 20th Annual OA Model United Nations conference after undergoing rigorous preparation by the Diploma Programme 2 (DP2) student executives. The student-led enrichment has prepared students since the beginning of the academic year, teaching them about Model UN Resolutions, lobbying, motions and what to do during the conference. AKA Mombasa student wins Dr Siva Kumari MYP Innovators’ Grant

Diploma Programme 1 student Arya Abdul received the Dr Siva Kumari MYP Student Innovators’ Grant for her project “A Step Forward”, in which she built an easily accessible, environmentally friendly walker. The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa is the only International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Africa to have students receive this grant every year since its inception in 2019.

The Class of 2024 receives the highest MYP exam results to date!

The Grade 10 students at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa scored top marks in their International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) examinations – the Academy’s best IB MYP results to date. The class average per subject stands at 5.12 out of a possible 7, the highest ever scored, with nine students scoring an impressive average of 6.0 and higher.

Grade 10 students celebrate completion of Middle Years Programme

The Grade 10 students commemorated the end of the Middle Years Programme with a ceremony. During the five-year rigorous programme, students are inspired to understand issues and ideas on multiple levels, locally, nationally, and internationally.

AKA Maputo Personal Projects Exhibition 22

On 1 March 2022, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo’s Grade 10 students hosted their Personal Projects (PP) Exhibition titled “Aspiração” or aspiration in Portuguese. Being the first time that the AKA Maputo hosted a face-to-face PP Exhibition, the students displayed their work in the Academy Building and invited their families and colleagues to attend the exhibition.
