Embracing the 'new norm'

Undeterred by the challenges posed by the global pandemic, the Aga Khan Academy Maputo embraced the 'new norm' and started the new academic year online. After a restful summer, the Academy community returned to online classes to take on the new year in good earnest with not only new tools but also new teachers.

The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa raises the bar once more with best IB results to date

Following in the footsteps of previous cohorts, the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa’s Class of 2020 received record-breaking results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) this year. In addition to the Academy once again scoring highly, the percentage of top scorers was also above the global average – with nine students scoring an outstanding 40 points and above.

AKDN Virtual Internship Programme 2020

During the July break, the Aga Khan Academies and the Aga Khan Development Network partnered up to provide internship opportunities for students in the Diploma Programme. Kauthar Mohamed, the internship coordinator at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa tells us more about the programme.
