Sonakshi Roy, a Year 10 student at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, has created a natural and organic perfume which has a calming effect and provides anxiety relief. The perfume project is inspired by her growing interest in psychology and addressing mental health issues.

Luciano Torriani, a Year 10 student at the Aga Khan Academy Mombasa, has created an inexpensive electricity supply and water purification system. His invention is titled Rural Electrical and Purification Systems (REPS), and is his personal project for the culmination of the Middle Years Programme.

Personal Project Spotlight - Aashna Lakhani

Aashna’s Personal project focuses on the importance of paper recycling. Using online Zoom workshops she taught people how they can recycle paper at home!

Student proposes for adoption of renewable energy in Zanzibar island

As part of his personal project, Year 10 AKA Mombasa student is working with the government of Zanzibar to adopt renewable energy as opposed to using fossil fuels to power up Zanzibar island.
