Virtual Internships - Summer of 2020

The Aga Khan Academies Internship Programme is a volunteer service opportunity that links IB Diploma students, aged 16-18, with AKDN agencies and other grassroots level NGOs to engage in meaningful and sustainable career-oriented opportunities in professional fields over their June/July holiday. This year marks the successful completion of the Internship Programme for the sixth consecutive year.

Students work to fund Mobile Animal Ambulance

The purpose behind this campaign was to provide assistance and help the helpless stray animals whose livelihood has been majorly violated. We are trying to bring a change into in the society, for the betterment of animal lives by raising money through a crowdfunding project in collaboration with Uplift Connect, Give India and Blue Cross of India.

'My career has been a blend of assignments in Physical Education Management and Leadership, based on which I have diversified experience in both. At the Modern Literature Club, they deconstruct and analyse translated texts to develop an appreciation for how language constructs meaning and illustrates the human condition.

Introducing Chandreyee Das Gupta - our new English and ToK teacher

I believe that teachers are in contact with the most important people on the planet; youth who are future leaders and influencers. Therefore, I would like to use the stories, poems and plays and texts we study in class to become life-long lessons in inspiration for my students.

DP2 student volunteers at shelter during lockdown

Armaan Sorathiya, a student in DP2 at the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad used the money he earned from his part time job during the lockdown to provide food, masks, sanitisers and dry rations to a shelter for people with disabilities.
