On Thursday, 4 February 2016, the Aga Khan Academy, Hyderabad had the pleasure of hosting a visit by the Honourable Kathleen Wynne, Premier of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
His Highness called for the establishment of ‘islands of stability’ in war-ravaged Syria that could provide areas of relative safety in the midst of conflict.
Students at the Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa participated in Microsoft Corporation's global Skype-a-thon, designed to connect classrooms around the world.
“I looked at this internship as a window of opportunity to discover more about where I come from and…as an opportunity to help my own people,” says Genesis Kayemba. Genesis is one of the many Aga Khan Academies students who participated in summer internships within the Aga Khan Development Network and other partner organisations earlier this year. These unique internships give students hands-on development and work experience within their home communities and countries.
