The AKA Learner Profile

The Aga Khan Academies (AKA) have developed a curriculum within the framework of the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) programmes. As such, the attributes of our learner profile are closely aligned to those of the IB learner profile.

Laboni Banerjee: cultivating community wherever she goes

Laboni Banerjee recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary with the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad as a Grade 3 teacher. Throughout her time, Laboni has seen the Academy grow in size through the number of programmes, students and staff, making the Academy a second home for her she is grateful to be a part of.

Personal Project Spotlight - Sweni Hamid

Sweni Hamid’s Personal Project captures the dreams of teenagers in six digital artworks.  Sweni sees dreaming as an activity which helps us to imagine outlandish scenarios; helping us develop into people who can handle even the most bizarre situations. This is what grabbed her attention and created the focus which became the central theme of this fascinating project. 

Our newest Junior CEO

Amongst 300 participants, Grade 9 student Shashini Bommala from the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad was recognised as the best Junior CEO through an international entrepreneurial course.
