Pragati Pandey wins Counsellor of the Year award

07 September 2018

Pragati Pandey won the 'Counsellor of the Year' award at this year’s International Career and College Counselling (IC3) conference, held in New Delhi from August 29-30. The award recognises and felicitates counsellors for excellence in their field. The winning counsellor has to have given students a chance to explore, shown willingness to learn and demonstrated a high level of motivation. "This is a special award because it's an honour conferred on you by the community of counsellors, and the nominations as well as the jury remain anonymous until the time that the award is given out," explains Pragati.

Pragati’s professional philosophy is to help students find the best fit university so that they are ultimately passionate about the profession that they choose. She is especially committed to placing students from diverse backgrounds with a high need for financial aid in notable universities around the world, especially in North America. Pragati has worked in some of the top institutions of the country and has been counsellor at the AKA Hyderabad for six years. There has been 100% university placement over the last five years of graduating classes.

Pragati was one of six nominees from international schools around the world. The IC3 aims to equip educational institutions around the world with a robust career and college counselling department. This year's conference saw more than 700 university and high school delegates from 28 countries participating, with major stakeholders such as the British Council, Cambridge Assessments, Collegeboard, EduCanada, Education USA, NACAC, IBO, ACT, IIE and several Indian and international universities as content partners or sponsors. We are very proud of Pragati and hope she continues in this fine form!
