Visit to the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique - A student's story

On March 14th Grade 7 students visited the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique. We went as part of our Humanities’ unit about leadership structures so we could learn more about politics. We were taken to see where laws are written and where they are taken to be passed into law.

The Mango Challenge

The Mango Challenge, which encouraged students and parents within our school community to use mangoes in sweet or savoury dishes led to a wonderful event that started at 14.00 and enabled people to sample dishes.

Camping - fun, adventure and learning

As part of their action during the unit “Where we are in place and time," grade 4 students had the unique experience of camping on campus overnight on Thursday 4th October 2018. .

PYP Exhibition 2018

After a lot of preparation, the exhibition was ready, and when the doors finally opened during the month of May, it was to an amazing variety of student work. The quality of the students' research and the understanding of the inquiry process was "truly outstanding".

Hour of Code – joining the largest learning event in history!

Every single student and member of staff was given the time and opportunity to code their own computer programme during Computer Science Education Week which ran from 4th – 10th December.

MYP Saturday school – highlighting experiential and service learning

Since the start of the year at AKA Hyderabad, grades 6–10 have encountered an appealing mix of educational field trips and a variety of activities centred on service learning to align with the Academy's mission to graduate students who are "empowered as stewards to make a positive contribution in a changing world."
