Junior School organises festive concert for parents and families

Jingle bells, carols and more could be heard at the Aga Khan Academy Maputo on 15 December during a concert that was put together by the Junior School for parents and family members.

Organised by the JS student council, Music Teacher Terencio Tovele and Visual Arts Teacher Rosa Jorge, the concert featured students from KG-Grade 2. The students sang songs and carols and recited poems in both English and Portugese to showcase their bilingual knowledge through visual arts. The audience enjoyed the performances, with many singing along to the songs.

"The concert gave us the chance to celebrate our community," said the Early Years Coordinator and KG1/KG2 Teacher Edna Margarido. "For our youngest learners, I was thrilled to see them display the skills we learn everyday. Through their performance, you could see them leading each other as they were great communicators. They were also very courageous as they stood in front of so many people. We all look forward to more successful events together."
