Team Sets Record and Bring Home Wins

October brought a great honour to the Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa, when it’s team of great swimmers won the Coast Amateur Swimming Association (CASA) Coast Age Group and Relay Swimming Championship. Eighteen-year-old Rachita Shah set two national records by clocking in at 1 minute, 11.13 seconds, beating her own previous record. She established a new, all-comers and 16 years and over records in the 100 metres backstroke record for girls.

The event that ended on October 25, 2009, took place at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa and resulted in its swimmers bagging the most wins. The Aga Khan Academy took the boys’ crown with 521 points and scored second in the girls’ title with 298 points.
