Academy Students Break National Records at CASA Trials

Relay teamCASA held short course swimming time trials on 15-16 September and there were 4 National Records broken by our students in events: 3 individual and 1 relay. 

RELAY NATIONAL RECORD - Age Group 10-11

 

Boys relay team set 1 NR in 4 x 200 metres freestyle relay with the time of 10:45.15 beating the old record of 10:58.03 set in 2012 by Bandari Swim Club.

 

The swimmers are:

Sathyam Gohil (Year 6)

Sabbah Leonato (Year 6)

Joshua Masakha (Year 6)

Ivan Hart (Year 7)

 

INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL RECORDS - age group 10-11


Ivan Hart (Year 7) set 3 individual NR:
50 metres freestyle with the time of 0:29.00 beating the old record of 0:29.60 set in 1989 by Anthony Lihalakha
50 metres butterfly with the time of 0:30.79 beating the old record of 0:32.35 set in 2012 by Nobby Obuya
100 metres backstroke with the time of 1:14.13 beating the old record of 1:15.84 set in 2015 by Rushab Shah

 

The total number of age group National Records held by these swimmers is as follows:

Ivan Hart - 26 individual and 3 relays NR

Sathyam Gohil - 3 relays NR

Joshua Masakha - 3 relays NR

Sabbah Leonato - 1 relays NR
